LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man accused of opening fire at a neighborhood association meeting killing two people is now facing new charges of assault and terroristic threatening.
According to an arrest report, a Metro Corrections officer said Mahmoud Hindi was receiving daily medication from a nurse on New Year's Day when he became verbally disruptive and threatened to kill the officer.
The report states Hindi threw a cup of water into the face of the officer while being escorted to a holding cell and goes on to say that Hindi continued to make the threats while talking to a mental health worker.
Hindi, 55, is awaiting trial on murder charges. He is accused of killing David Merritt and Marvin Fischer on September 6 during a meeting of the Spring Creek Homeowner's Association.
