Men allegedly break into home, kill cat

MARION COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – Two men were arrested after they allegedly broke into a woman's home dressed as police officers.

According to police, Steven Bartley, 21, and Lawrence Inman, 31, broke into the woman's home Tuesday morning.

Police said the woman opened the door and a man dressed in camouflage with a hat that said "detective" asked for help before he and another man forced their way into the home.

The woman was hit several times in the face. Police also said the suspects broke the neck of a kitten that was inside the home.

Both men were arrested early Wednesday morning in Shepherdsville.
