The Clark County Wellness CenterJEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) –
Jeffersonville residents who had problems while dealing with a pain management clinic
will no longer have issues.
According to the Mayor's
office in Jeffersonville, the Clark County Wellness Center has shut down. They
believe the doors permanently closed sometime around Christmas.
Neighbors have been
protesting the business for months. They said the clinic was causing problems
in their neighborhood.
The city said it's now up
to the property owner on what will happen to the building, but a new ordinance
says a pain clinic cannot be opened in a residential area.
If for some reason the clinic does try to open up shop
again he mayor's office said they are ready to shut them down with a court
order.
