Time to clean up in the New Year

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Start the New Year with a clean slate and bring your old stuff to the St. Andrew's Recycling Event. Join the St. Andrew's Green Team in making our city beautiful, safe and healthy!

St. Andrew's parish and the neighborhood designed this event to re-energize the community to reduce, re-use and recycle in the New Year. The mission is to safeguard the integrity of creation, sustain and renew the life of the earth!

They are talking all odd items that you aren't sure about. Electronics; TVs, computers, microwaves, hazmat; house hold cleaners, lead paint, light bulbs, and packing materials; Styrofoam blocks and air filled bags.

St. Andrew's recycling event on Sunday, January 6 from 10am to 4pm will be held at the St. Andrews location on the corner of Woodbourne Ave. and Ellerbee just off Bardstown Road in the Highlands. The recycling will be collected in the parking lot.

Wishing you a safe, happy, fresh and uncluttered New Year from St. Andrew's Green Team!
