Bond set for man after 125 pot plant found

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man police said rented a home in south Louisville strictly to grow marijuana faced a judge.

Gary Murphy is accused of growing roughly 125 marijuana plants at a home on West Fern Valley Road.

Thursday, a judge set Murphy's bond at $5,000.

Murphy is due back in court later in January.

    Governor Matt Bevin signed a proclamation declaring March 1-7  as Severe Weather Awareness Week in the Bluegrass. The statewide drill, which normally serves as the kick-off for the week, will no longer take place February 28.
