INDIANAPOLIS (WAVE) - Indiana lawmakers are again considering a push to require the teaching of cursive writing by the state's schools.
The issue first came up after the State Department of Education dropped cursive writing as a required part of the school curriculum in 2011.
School districts were told the State expected students to become proficient in keyboard use.
A State Senate education committee will hold a hearing this week on a bill would that would require all public schools to teach cursive.
