LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A woman is facing charges after police said she assaulted a gas station clerk.

According to a police report, on February 23, 2012  at the Swifty on Dixie Highway in Valley Station, Felisha Sturgeon got into an argument with the clerk because she did not want to pre-pay for gas.

The report states Sturgeon pulled the gas nozzle out of her vehicle, threw it on the ground and ran toward the clerk. Once she reached the clerk she then spit in the clerk's face and began punching her.

The clerk had $37 in her hand which was dropped during the incident. Police said Sturgeon picked up the money and ran to her vehicle.

The incident was caught on a surveillance video at the station.

A warrant was issued for Sturgeon and police arrested her on January 7, 2013.

Sturgeon is charged with assault, robbery and theft by unlawful taking.
