CLARK COUNTY, IN (WAVE) - Early Wednesday morning Jonathan Jennings Elementary school was one of many schools in the Greater Clark County School system that took part in an intruder drill, preparing students and faculty where to go, and what to do, if they have an intruder.

The principal, Adrienne Back came over the intercom telling teachers to cover their windows, which was the cue that an intruder was in the building.

Teachers turned off the lights, covered the windows and students lined up against the wall until the drill ended.

Bach says, "The lights are turned off the teachers covers the door window with a magnetic strip of paper that would block anyone that could be in a hallway trying to look in and so the appearance of the room is empty."

The drill lasted 15 minutes and Bach says they will probably do one every nine weeks.
