Bridge repairs cause lane closures

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - If you use the Clark Memorial Bridge, also referred to as the Second Street Bridge, on a regular basis, lane closures may impact your commute.

Crews will be painting and doing sidewalk repairs. Traffic will be taken down to one lane each direction 24 hours a day while crews paint the steel, replace the handrails and sidewalks and begin to repair expansion joints.

The lane restrictions will last 24 hours a day for about two months straight, starting the week of January 14.

Construction is scheduled to be done by April 15.
