LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The University of Louisville has scheduled a special memorial service to honor the life of former College of Arts and Sciences Dean J. Blaine Hudson.
Doctor Hudson died Saturday at the age of 63.
Hudson recently retired as dean and had been a part of the university community for more than 45 years.
He was also a well-known community activist and served on Mayor Greg Fischer's most recent violence task force.
The memorial service will be held Monday, January 14, at 3 p.m. in the Brown and Williamson Club at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Doors will open at 2 p.m.
