Dog bites off child's nose

HENDERSON, KY (WAVE) - A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized at Kosair Children's Hospital after he had his nose bitten off by a dog.

The Henderson County Sheriff said the boy was visiting friends and playing with the dog at a home on Kentucky Highway 136 West.

Animal Control took the dog to a veterinarian where the nose was recovered from the animal's stomach.

The dog's owner said he has had the dog since it was a puppy and it has never shown signs of aggression.
