In an effort to keep motorists from drinking and driving, an OVI blitz will take place this weekend.
The blitz will be conducted by the Butler County Task Force through the State S.R. 129 corridor.
Task force agencies along with State Highway Patrol will saturate State Route 129 to detect and deter impaired drivers. Additional officers will also be searching their jurisdictions.
"This is our continued effort to make sure the roads are safe and there are no unnecessary tragedies on our roads. Our mission is to save lives and we will do our part to make our roadways safe," stated Carl Phillips, Coordinator of the Butler County Task Force.
The OVI blitz will take place both Friday and Saturday.
