Kentucky lawmakers held a moment of silence for fallen Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Rakes on Friday.

FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) – Kentucky lawmakers took time out of their Friday to pay tribute to a fallen Marion County deputy.
A resolution adjourning the House of Representatives was read in memory of Deputy Anthony Rakes. A moment of silence was held in Rakes' honor.
Rakes was shot and killed in November. Dewayne Shipp is accused of murdering Rakes. He faced a judge on Thursday to enter a not guilty plea.
Police say Shipp shot himself in the leg after the murder.
