Meth lab discovered in hotel

Crew responded and found a meth lab in the hotel.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Fire crews responded after a methamphetamine lab was discovered in a hotel.

Around 8:20 p.m. Monday firefighters were called to the Economy Inn on Bardstown Road, just outside of the Watterson Expressway.

According to Louisville Metro police, a 911 call reported a strange smell coming from one of the rooms.

When officers got the manager to open the door they discovered a meth lab. Police then cleared people out of nearby rooms and called in a meth clean up team.

No arrests have been made in the case. Police are looking for the person who rented the room.
