Henrietta Pepper is Founder and President of the pepper group, ltd., a brand communications firm managing brand strategy development and implementation for a variety of clients in business-to-business, direct-to-consumer and non-profit categories.
Henrietta moved to Louisville, KY in 1985 after graduating from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She has continued to further her education through Executive Leadership Training classes at the University of Louisville, a Business Strategies Executive Study Program at Harvard University and continued education through the various business associations' educational programming, seminars and events.
Henrietta founded the pepper group, ltd. in 2005 after 23 years in the marketing communications industry and a rewarding career in senior management with the region's top advertising agencies. Henrietta's diverse range of client experiences crosses several industry categories including:
- Non-profit/charitable organizations
- Real estate development
- Economic development
- Consumer Package Goods
- Community Relations
Additionally, Henrietta is highly involved in the Kentuckiana community and dedicates her time to a variety of worthy causes. She is a Focus Louisville graduate and member of the Leadership Louisville Class of 2008. She currently serves on the UofL Ulmer Career Management Center Board of Advisors. Among several formal and informal commitments to several area non-profit organizations, Henrietta currently serves on the Board of Directors for:
- Parkinson's Support Center of Kentuckiana
- Bellewood Presbyterian Home for Children
- FEAT (Families for Effective Autism Treatment)
She has also been recognized with several awards including the Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) Inc.credible Award for a Woman Owned Business (2009), the Advertising Federation of Louisville's Silver Medal Award (2009) and Betty Stoner Leadership Award (2008), as well as being named one of 15 finalists for NAWBO Louisville's Women Business Owner of the Year EPIC Award (2008 and 2010).
Most recently, the pepper group, ltd., has been certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and named to GLI's High Impact portfolio as one of the top fast growth companies in the region. In 2010, Henrietta was identified as a Leadership Louisville Connector - a group of 128 "trusted headers" emerging from over 5,500 nominees.
