Police searching for bank robbery suspect

SONORA, KY (WAVE)Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

According to Kentucky State Police, at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, a man went into the Cecilian Bank branch in Sonora and handed the teller a note demanding cash.

The teller complied and the man fled on foot and was unable to be located in the area.

The man is described as being in his late teens to mid 20s, 5'9'' tall, with a thin build. He is said to have a brown to red mustache and beard.

He was last seen wearing a gray hooded zip up jacket with a large Adidas logo on the back, dark blue jeans, brown hat, and brown gloves.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Kentucky State Police Post in Elizabethtown at (270) 766-5078.
