Driver killed in crash on State Route 840

FAIRVIEW, TN (WSMV) -

A driver was killed in a crash in Williamson County on State Route 840 Wednesday morning.

A worker with the Tennessee Department of Transportation was salting the road and discovered the crash around 6:30 a.m.

Investigators believe the victim was heading east in a Jeep around 5:30 a.m. when they lost control, slid off the road and down the embankment into a creek.

The identify of the victim has not been released.
