Woman allegedly stole thousands from step-mother

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman is accused of cheating her step-mother out of tens of thousands of dollars.

According to Louisville Metro police, Sharon Baugher stole nearly $50,000 from her 72-year-old step-mother who is diagnosed with dementia and lives in a nursing home.

Baugher is charged with credit card fraud and exploitation of an adult.
