LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police are asking the community to help them find the person who shot a Marine Corps Veteran outside a club.
Police were called to the Kingdom Nite Club near Taylor Boulevard and Arcade Avenue around 3:45 Monday morning.
Investigators said the Veteran had been inside the club, but went outside and got into a car with a male driver. That's when someone came up behind the car and fired several shots, hitting the woman in the abdomen.
Police said they do not believe the shooting was random, but they have been unable to figure out what led up to the act.
The other person in the car was uninjured.
Metro police said the victim, who is not being identified, will survive, but that she has a long road to recovery.
Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the anonymous police tip line at (502) 574-lmpd.
