Five hurt in Fern Creek area wreck

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Five people have been taken to hospitals for treatment after an injury crash which closed Bardstown Road in the Fern Creek area.

The crash at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Waterford Road, just north of the Bullitt County line, was reported at 6:30 a.m. Emergency personnel from Louisville Metro and Bullitt County were called to the scene.

A Louisville Metro Police spokesperson said three victims were taken to University Hospital, one to Jewish Hospital Medical Center South in Brooks, and one juvenile was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The crash is being investigated by the LMPD Traffic Unit.

All lanes were reopened by 8:45 a.m.
