LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville's 2013 football season in the BIG EAST Conference will include another challenging slate of eight games. The eight league games next season will be the most since the Cardinals entered the conference in 2005.
Louisville's home conference opponents will include three new league members, Central Florida, Memphis and Houston. Rutgers will also be a home opponent for the Cardinals next season.
The road schedule features trips to Cincinnati, Connecticut, Temple and South Florida.
The BIG EAST welcomes four new members to the conference, which includes UCF, Houston, Memphis and SMU who will join the conference as all-sport members.
The Cardinals return seven starters on offense and 11 starters on defense next season from a team who has won back-to-back BIG EAST titles and is coming off a 33-23 win over Florida in the 2013 Sugar Bowl.
A complete schedule, including dates for the BIG EAST games, is expected in February.
