Hundreds attend funeral for former Metro Councilwoman Green

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Hundreds of people gathered on Saturday to remember former Metro Council Member Judy Green.

More than 400 people attended the funeral for Green, who died Tuesday of a massive heart attack at the age of 57.

Loved ones celebrated her life at St. Stephen Baptist Church.

Green, a dentist by profession, represented the people of west Louisville in District 1 from 2007 to 2011. She resigned from office amid an ethics violation.

Green leaves behind her husband, 13 children and more than 50 foster children. She was laid to rest at Green Meadows Cemetery.
