Overnight fire damages home

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Fire crews spent several hours putting out a fire overnight.

Around 4 a.m. Monday, fire crews were called to a home on South 35th Street in the Shawnee Neighborhood.

One person lived inside the home, but was not in the residence at the time of the fire.

Most of the damage sustained was to the first floor and basement.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
