Vigil held for 3 killed after shooting on college campus

HAZARD, KY (WAVE) - A community gathering was held in Perry County to say a final goodbye to three people shot outside of a Kentucky college.

Visitations for Jackie Cornett, 53, his daughter Taylor Cornett, 12, and his niece Caitlin Cornett, 20, were held Monday at the John C. Combs Arena in Hazard.

Caitlin Cornett, Jackie Cornett and Taylor Cornett were shot last Tuesday night in the parking lot of Hazard Community and Technical College.

Dalton Stidham, 21, is accused of pulling the trigger. He and Caitlin Cornett met at the campus where she was a student to exchange custody of their 2-year-old son.
