Extremely cold temperatures are expected this morning and this afternoon. Wind chill values will range between -5 degrees and 5 degrees through sunrise. By this afternoon expect wind chill readings between zero to 15 degrees. The actual high for the day in Louisville is set at 21 degrees, colder in outlying areas. We'll slowly warm up tomorrow into the end of the week when our focus will shift from bitter cold temperatures to a chance for snow. We're watching a system Thursday evening into Friday that, depending on the track, could bring a rain/snow combo in addition to some sleet and freezing rain. At this time, I feel there will be parts of the WAVE 3 viewing area that will see accumulation. Stay tuned as we head closer to the end of the week and fine tune the forecast.
