LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A stretch of Interstate 71 remained closed for hours after a semi overturned near the ramp to the Gene Snyder southbound.
According to MetroSafe the accident happened at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The semi was traveling southbound on I-71 and was carrying a sawdust-like material when it wrecked and spilled the load on the road. Crews had to clear the material which caused the closure to last longer.
The driver of the semi was not injured. I-71 has since been reopened.
