NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -
Newport Police are
attempting to identify the two subjects who
are wanted for Theft.
On Jan. 14, 2013, a white male entered the
Speedway at E. 10th St. in Newport and asked to reload $500 onto
his Netspend Mastercard Prepaid Credit Card.
The clerk put the money on
the card and the subject then stalled the clerk while he attempted to find his
money. He then told the clerk that he didn't have any money on him and
asked that the $500 be voided off the card.
The clerk attempted to void
the transaction, but the subject had already had his partner withdraw the money
from the ATL inside the Speedway.
The first subject hit the card under
the counter on the candy rack. The second subject grabbed it, withdrew
the money and brought the card back before the clerk realized it. The
first subject is the white male with the blue baseball hat on. The second
subject has a dark colored coat and hat on.
