The man behind the voice of Charlie Brown was in a California court Wednesday. (Source: KGTV via CNN)SAN DIEGO (KGTV/CNN) - The man behind the voice of Charlie Brown was in a California court Wednesday.
Peter Robbins is charged with threatening a police officer, a doctor and two others with death.
Robbins, 56, was arrested earlier this week at a U. S. border patrol entry when officers realized he was wanted by authorities in San Diego.
He is being held in lieu of $550,000 in bail.
Robbins was nine years old in 1965 when he was cast as Charlie Brown in the cartoon "A Boy Named Charlie Brown." He voiced the star Peanuts character in other productions as well.
He was replaced at 14 because his voice changed.
