Woman in court for stabbing man in the back

An Avondale woman was in court on Thursday after police say she stabbed a man in the back.

Teresa Clay, 27, is accusing of stabbing Joel Trotter in the back with a butcher knife on Wednesday, causing serious injuries.

Clay is facing felonious assault charges. Her bond was set at $20,000.

Trotter was taken to the hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition.
