TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

The debate over a truck stop near Lebanon was delayed on Thursday.

Warren County Commissioners hoped to decide upon a proposed Flying J Travel Plaza at the southeast corner of I-71 at Ohio 123 in Turtlecreek Township.

The 11-acre development would include the truck stop, Wendy's and other retail space.

Supporters of the stop say it will bring more business to the area, being the 2nd most underdeveloped interchange in Warren County.

The Lebanon Community Group argued the area is not zoned for those businesses, postponing the decision.

Opponents of the truck stop say it will increase area traffic and hurt future development of more 'attractive' businesses. They also believe it will hurt property value and increase crime rates.

Commissioners are expected to reach a decision within the next two to four weeks. Written arguments will be taken for the next week, and responses being taken the following seven days after.
