Identity of body found in Ohio River released

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – The body of a woman found in the Ohio River along the New Albany shore has been identified as a Louisville resident.

According to Dr. Lesli Knable, the Floyd County coroner, no foul play is suspected in the death of Barbara Mudd.

Knable said Mudd, 60, had been reported missing on Thursday by her husband.

Mudd's body was spotted by a tow boat captain heading downstream about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
