CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
The Salvation
Army in Greater Cincinnati announced it raised more than $775,000 from
its 2012 Kettle Campaign, shattering the goal of $700,000.
The campaign is a major
fundraising effort that has been undertaken annually at Christmastime for more than
120 years.
The
funds collected are used throughout the year providing Emergency Assistance, after-school programs, and myriad services provided by The Salvation Army that
serve those of all ages in our local community.
This year's result sets another new record, readily surpassing the
$719,000 raised in 2011.
