LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man charged with killing his sons and their mother was back in court on Monday.

John Devine was indicted in July on murder charges.

On July 15, 2012, police found Sade Goldmith, John, 6, and Jontee, 5, dead in their Pleasure Ridge Park home.

Investigators said Devine broke in and killed Goldsmith and the children, before shooting himself.

The judge wants to hear from the head detective as well as see the evidence before a trial date is set.
