Lauren JonesLauren Jones joined WAVE 3 in 2011 as part of the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking Team. Her forecasts air Monday through Friday on WAVE 3 News Midday at 11 a.m. And now, you can wake up each weekday morning with Lauren, who co-anchors WAVE 3 News Sunrise with John Boel from 4:30 to 7 a.m.
Lauren attended Mississippi State University prior to landing her first job as weekend evening meteorologist at WTVW, the Fox affiliate in Evansville, IN. She also worked for WLKY in Louisville as the weekend evening and morning meteorologist. More recently, Lauren was part of the weather team at WXIN, the Fox affiliate in Indianapolis, where she served as the evening meteorologist on weekends.
Lauren is an Emmy-nominated meteorologist, and her reporting has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists. She also holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval.
Lauren is originally from Columbus, IN. She is married with two daughters and two cats.
