ST. BERNARD, OH (FOX19) -
Students at a local high school played in a good 'ole fashioned game of dodgeball for a good cause.
On Monday, students at Roger Bacon High School hosted a dodgeball tournament, with the proceeds benefiting St. Vincent de Paul.
Those participating in the tournament were asked to donate $2 or a personal care item. At one point in the afternoon, around $600 had been raised.
"I go down to the pantry every month, and I see the need of people in our area so I know that what we're doing today is going to pay off, and it's going to really help people. This is something fun that also benefits the community," said Tommy Perry, a student at Roger Bacon High School.
Roger Bacon is one of several schools helping out St. Vincent de Paul during 'Catholic Schools Week', a week that highlights faith, academics and service within catholic schools.
