Woman turns herself in after slashing at mall

LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - A woman has been arrested in connection to an attack at a mall that left a young woman with cuts to her face.

Lexington police said Nicole Bewley turned herself in on Tuesday.

Bewley's victim, Nicole Kyaw, said Bewley and another woman attacked her on January 15 as she was going to work. Kyaw's face was slashed with a razor or some sort of blade.

According to Kyaw, the two women knew each other because she had dated Bewley's ex-boyfriend.

Bewley is charged with first-degree assault. The second suspect has not yet been arrested.
