Deputy injured in crash on SB I-71

NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A crash involving a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy cruiser slowed traffic on SB I-71 on Thursday.

The crash occurred around 11 a.m. near the Ridge Road exit.

The right lanes were temporarily shut down while crews cleaned up the crash. Traffic was backed up to Kenwood.

The cruiser was rear-ended by a pick up truck. The deputy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
