LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) –
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer says he's committed to reducing the city's carbon
footprint.
Louisville's first comprehensive
sustainability plan outlines 19 broad goals, including decreasing energy use in
city buildings by 2025, and one to increase recycling by 25 percent by 2015.
The plan also calls for planting
10,000 new trees and acquiring 4,000 acres of land for green space and
increased bicycle use.
