Investigators are still waiting for the medical examiner to determine how a four-month-old baby girl died.
The baby, Rose Hogan, was staying with her 19 year old father at a house on E. 103rd near St. Clair Ave. in Cleveland. The dad told police he woke up and Rose had a pillow over her face, and she wasn't breathing. She was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where she died.
Police arrested the dad, but he was released and no charges were filed. Family members tell us he was visibly upset when he found Rose not breathing.
"He had a fantastic relationship with the child," Thomas Hogan, Rose's uncle, said.
The case is being turned over to Homicide Investigators and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will have to determine exactly how the baby died. An autopsy is expected Tuesday.
