The stamp was released on Monday.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The United States Parcel Service is honoring a civil rights activist by placing her image on a stamp.
On what would have been her 100th birthday, USPS released a forever stamp of Rosa Parks.
In 1955, Parks refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white man, defying the discriminatory laws of the era.
The stamp is the second in a series of three civil rights stamps to be made in 2013.
The stamps can be purchased at any local post office.
