2 JCPS buses involved in non-injury accidents

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two Jefferson County Public School buses were involved in non-injury accidents.

According to MetroSafe, JCPS bus number 9801 was involved in a wreck with a passenger vehicle at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday at Berry and Taylor Boulevards.

According to a JCPS spokesperson, the bus tapped the car it was behind. Three children who were heading to Cochrane Elementary were on board, but luckily no injuries were reported.

Earlier Tuesday, another bus crash took place on Taylorsville Road near Stone Lake.

According to a JCPS spokesperson, bus number 1204, a special needs bus, was stopped at a stop sign when a car tried to go around it and clipped the front of the bus.

One student was on the bus at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported.
