LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Construction of a new student recreation center has reached a milestone at the University of Louisville.
Tuesday afternoon school officials said the final large steel beam was placed on top of the structure.
The $37 million, 128,000 square foot recreation center is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2013.
The building, located on 4th Street next to Minardi Hall, will include an exercise and weight facility, six basketball courts, racquetball courts, aerobic studios, a jogging track, fitness lab and classrooms.
