Woman accused of stealing thousands from Windsor hotel

WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

The Windsor Police Department arrested a woman, who is accused of stealing more than $13,000 from a hotel in town.

According to police, Cori Magnotta, 30, allegedly wrote several fraudulent checks out from the checking account for the Residence Inn on Dunfey Lane where she worked as a general manager.

In total, she is accused of stealing $13,688 from the hotel.

Magnotta was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree larceny and first-degree identity theft. She was released on a $1,750 bond.

Magnotta was arraigned at Enfield Superior Court on Jan. 29 and is due back in court Feb. 27.
