Large groups may have to pay up if they want to use public parks in Brentwood.
Sports teams and leagues that use the city's facilities, courts and playing fields already pay fees, but there's now a new fee system in place for large running groups that use the city's trails and greenways.
The move comes after a home-school cross country team brought nearly 80 runners to Crockett Park last year.
Now, groups that include 20 or more people must get approval from the parks department to use the trails.
And fees will be requested if residency requirements aren't met. If too many members of the group live outside Brentwood city limits, the group will be charged $25 per two-hour time slot to use the trails.
