LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A grocery trip landed a man behind bars after police say he stole hundreds of dollars worth of meat.
In December, investigators say James Purvis walked out of the Save-A-Lot store on National Turnpike with a cart full of meat worth more than $500.
An employee wrote down Purvis' license plate and called police.
According to Louisville Metro Police, Purvis, 43, has a history of committing similar thefts at other stores in Jefferson County.
