The defense begins in Petty murder trial

SCOTT COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – The defense began presenting its case for a man who faces murder charges in the death of his ex-wife.

Robert Petty's ex-wife, Nina Keown, disappeared in August 2012 after a music festival in Scottsburg.

Petty admitted to getting into a fight with Nina Keown and then chocking her to death. He later led police to her body in a Clark County field.
