Controversial Indiana bill moving forward

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A bill was proposed in an Indiana House committee that would make some Indiana welfare recipients face drug testing.

The bill would make welfare users identified as possible drug abusers to take a drug test. Those who fail the drug test would have to undergo treatment to continue receiving financial assistance.

The House committee voted 9 to 4 along party lines on February 13, that sent the proposal to the full House.
