Urban League donates books to local after-school programs

Some local students were given the gift of reading on Wednesday.

Hundreds of books were donated to students in the Rockdale and South Avondale after-school programs by the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati.

The African American leadership Development program is part of the Urban League.

In an effort to help students develop a love for reading, the league raised $3,000 to buy the books.
