CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
A local organization is improving the lives of thousands of Tri-State
residents by teaching them how to cook.
Cincinnati Cooks Catering is part of the Freestore Foodbank, which caters food to local events. The money earned is used to support a free, 10-week culinary program which trains low income, at-risk adults. The aim is to provide students with the knowledge and skill to land a job in the food industry.
Those who take the program learn food preparation, technique and safety as well
as skills to working in a commercial kitchen.
In addition, job placement and career coaching is also offered to each student.
