CLARKSVILLE, IN  (WAVE) - Clarksville and St. Matthews police are teaming to capture a couple they believe is behind nearly 50 car break-ins since late January in southern Indiana and Louisville.

Detective Darrell Rayborn said they are looking for Jose Garcia and Robin Anderson, from Scottsburg, Indiana.

The couple is believed to be driving a red Neon and breaking into people's cars.

"We had a break in of a car at the fitness center here in Clarksville. It happened to be an off duty LMPD police officer, his wife's car." That fitness center was LAC in Clarksville.

Detective Rayborn said the couple broke into the victim's car, took her wallet and used her credit cards at the Home Depot located across the street.

The Jeffersonville police department already had surveillance photos of the couple.

Police believe they may be in the Scottsburg area. If you have any information about their whereabouts you're asked to call police.
